Apex 4 Sharpener
The Apex Model Edge Pro knife sharpening kit will sharpen any size or shape blade (up to 3 ½" wide), including serrated knives. Knives can be sharpened at exactly the same angle every time. The Edge Pro Apex 4 removes far less metal than electric pro sharpeners or grinders, eliminating wavy edges and adding to the life and performance of your knives. With a special scissor attachment, scissors are restored and improved to better-than-new performance.
Work Sharp Ken Onion Sharpener
This consumer tool was co-engineered by the world-renown knife maker, Ken Onion. Customized angle settings sharpen at different speeds and is a good tool to quickly reform or re-profile edges on knives, axes, tools and even swords!
Ceramic Honing Rods
Ceramic honing rods remove very little material, and polish the knife edge to remove uneven particles. An important tool for finishing some edges on knives and tools. Do yourself a favor and throw away your "sharpening steel" in your knife block...it creates groves in your edge much like a pull-through knife sharpener. I sell these if you are interested.
Nebraska Clipper Blade Sharpener
This specialty tool is what professionals use to create better-than-factory edges on your clippers. This tool is not cheap, but it ensures that the results on your clippers will be extraordinary.
Hand Files and Rasps
Larger blades sometimes need tough love. Hand files, rasps, and diamond hones renew the original contours of the blade, and specialty files work cross-cut and rip saws so they can be effective again.
Japanese Wet Stone
If wielded correctly, this is the secret weapon to bring chef knives to razor-sharpness. If you don't use it correctly, you will mangle not only the edge, but the profile as well. This method takes practice and is not recommended for the beginner.

American Sharpener System for Mower and Auger Blades
American Sharpener has produced several iterations of their specialty mower blade sharpener. Model 5005 rev 2 is able to select and hold a precise angle all the way up the blade for consistent results. Your grass never had it so good.
1 x 30 Belt/Disk Sander
Though not a "specialty" piece of equipment, it is a major player to perform much of the pre-work necessary to change a blade's profile, remove damage, and establish a consistent starting point for the edge formation.
Specialty Stones for the EdgePro Apex 4
Depending on the type of steel in your edge, I select from my extensive collection of over 200 sharpening stones ranging from natural and man-made materials, including T2, aluminum carbide, boride, ruby, diamond, silicon carbine, Venev, ceramic, and glass for the formation and finishing of a perfect and consistent edge. I finish with a leather, felt, or balsa strop depending on the application.
DMT Diafold Diamon Hones
Not cheap, but neither are the results. Honestly, sharpening serrated edges is a pain, but with the right equipment, the results are worth the effort.
Chainsaw Blade Sharpener
For those of you who have attempted sharpening your own chainsaw blades, it can be done, and is often necessary in the field. However, the results are less-than-desirable because the chain tracks sideways, binds, and lacks "bite". I use a specialty chain sharpener that sets the depth and the angle specific to your chain to put you back in tree-felling territory.

The water cooled slow speed grindstone will not overheat steel. There is no worry about taking the temper out of your tool. In addition, there is no grinding dust, the steel particles are deposited into the water trough. And with the low speed, you can fully control the sharpening.
